As 5th-generation food makers, we, Jaco and Liesbeth, have been the owners of BoerBert since 2021. Together with our team we look after our roughly 280 organic dairy cows day in, day out — the cows that produce our organic milk. We do this close to nature, with a lot of nature management: delayed mowing, cleaning the ditches by hand, and protecting meadow birds. The dairy herd is our main branch, but alongside it around 250 hens range free in the meadow, laying fresh polder eggs every day, and we make our own organic farmhouse cheese. We sell these products from our own farm — together with products from the businesses of our close family — in our farm shop, the BoerBertShop. That gives us a broad range of organic and local products. Besides a shop, there's also a milk-tap machine on the farm where you can fill up with raw milk.
